On September 21, 2022, Shanghai Ranking officially released the Best Chinese Subjects Ranking 2022. The list includes 96 first-class disciplines. A total of 108 universities which has the discipline of law were listed. The law discipline of Sichuan University has been ranked top 10 in China for two consecutive years, ranking among the top 5%.

In recent years, the discipline construction of Law School has achieved remarkable results. The discipline of law has continued to improve in the Best Chinese Subjects Ranking, rises from the 15^th in 2017 to the 10^th in 2021, and continue to maintain in 2022.

Shanghai Ranking is a globally famous third-party evaluation agency. The data sources of "Ranking of the best disciplines in China” are all from the authoritative third-party. After the standardized data cleaning and discipline classification process, the index data of each discipline point can be obtained uniformly.
