Cao Shunqing isa Distinguished Professor of Sichuan University，amember ofthe European Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Vice Director Member of the Advisory Board of Chinese Language and Literature Teaching under the MOE, theFourth President oftheChinese Society of Comparative Literature,Vice Chairman of Sichuan Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences, Vice Chairman of Academic Committee of Sichuan University,Chairman of Liberal Arts Sub-Committee of Academic Degree Committee of Sichuan University , the Academic Dean of College of Literature and Journalism of Sichuan University，the director and chairmanof Collaborative Innovation Center for Chinese Multi-ethnic Culture Cohesion and Global Communication. He isalso the Editor-in-Chief ofCultural Studiesand Literary Theory（CSSCI）and the editor-in-chief of the English international journalsComparative Literature: East & West and Comparative Literature & World Literature. He is mainly engaged in the study of comparative literature, literature and art, and ancient Chinese literature. He wrote more than 30 representative books, includingComparative Poetics between China and The West,History of Chinese and Foreign Literary Theories, Chinese Culture,Selected Oriental Literary Theories, and English monographThe Variation Theory of Comparative Literature, and published more than 200 academic papers.
