Professor Luo Zhitian received his Ph.D. from Princeton University. He is currently the distinguished professor of history at the Sichuan University, specialized in modern Chinese history. He has published a number of books, includingInheritance within Rupture: Culture and Scholarship in Early Twentieth-Century China (2015 by Brill) and Shift of Powers: Modern Chinese Thought and Society(2018 by Brill). Currently he is working on several projects including one about how the Chinese intellectuals longing for revolutions in the 20th Century.
